Summer is close, and of course we are hoping for lots of warm sunny days in Dublin. Unfortunately, this is not always the case in Ireland, so thinking of some nice indoor activities to keep yourself busy might be a good thing to do. What about attending a play in one of Dublin’s theatres? At The Green we picked out our favourites.
The Last Ship – Bord Gáis Theatre
After receiving many wonderful five-star reviews at its official opening in Newcastle’s Northern Stage, The Last Ship comes to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre as part of its first ever tour of the UK and Ireland Tour. Sting’s personal, political and passionate musical is a moving epic tale of community, hope and a great act of collective defiance. For more information and tickets, visit the website.

Assassins – The Gate Theatre
The Gate Theatre presents the multiple Tony Award-winning “ASSASSINS”. The play tells the story about the lives of nine people who killed (or tried to kill) the president of the United States. The play consists of Sondheim’s signature blend of brilliantly stunning lyrics and magnificent music with a panoramic story. For tickets, pay a visit to the website here.
